Normally rheometers are limited in measuring the complex viscosity of printing inks under high shear, printing press conform conditions. Their range of linear shear rate is cut by mechanical design and Weissenberg effect of the sample. Mathematical extrapolations to the high shear range may difficult and are error sensitive.
